Graphic Designer

40 Dean Street, 64 Old Compton Street & 27 Old Compton Street

Following the success of my out-of-home (OOH) billboard advert for 40 Dean Street, which was prominently displayed in Leicester Square, I was approached by Nima, the restaurant’s owner, to design the logo for their new sister venue,

64 Old Compton Street.

The brief was to retain the essence of the original logo while adapting it to reflect the more casual, takeaway-focused vibe of the new restaurant.

For the design, I reimagined the numbers, creating a playful interaction where the 6 and 4 appear to ‘hug’—a nod to the sibling relationship between the two venues. To emphasise the takeaway aspect, I incorporated a bold, shadowed subtitle reminiscent of branding commonly found in independent street food outlets.

After Nima was happy with the design for 64, he asked me to create the logo for his next venture, which originally had a very different name and the design broke away from the existing designs. However, due to copyright issues, the name had to be changed and 27 Old Compton Street was birthed.

Below, you’ll find the Leicester Square advert for 40 Dean Street alongside the new logo design for 64 & 27 Old Compton Street.
